Advanced Driver Assistance

Every GMC vehicle includes driver assistance systems to protect you and your passengers and make driving safer than ever. These features use cutting-edge technology like radar, sonar sensors, and advanced cameras to identify potential accident situations and warn you so you can take action and prevent a collision.

Forward Collision Alert is an example of this technology, and it is standard or available in every GMC model. It uses radar and/or a camera to monitor any vehicle ahead of you. A green car icon will appear on your windshield when a vehicle is in front of you. The icon changes to amber if you’re following it too closely, then red, followed by warning beeps if you need to brake to avoid a collision.

OnStar Connectivity

OnStar is GMC’s proprietary technology that allows you to access multimedia, navigation, emergency, and security services, and use Super Cruise. It’s a subscription-based service that lets you choose the features you want or access all its services at a reduced rate. You can also download the MyGMC app for Apple or Android smartphones and access many of your vehicle systems remotely.

Super Cruise is one of your GMC’s systems powered by OnStar. It allows you to drive hands-free on over 400,000 miles of mapped roads in the USA and Canada. If the road has clearly marked lane lines, you can set Super Cruise and sit back and relax. Super Cruise continually accesses LiDAR map data and GPS to pilot your vehicle, accelerating or braking and changing lanes when needed to get you to your destination.

Apple and Android Compatibility

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility are built into every GMC. This enables you to connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to the GMC infotainment system and access everything on your phone. You can make and receive calls, send texts or emails, or access your stored playlist. Voice access ensures you can use your smartphone hands-free, so you never have to take your eyes off the road.
