The 2025 GMC Terrain vs. the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox: Which Compact SUV Wins?

The GMC Terrain and Chevy Equinox are both powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged, four-cylinder motor. The GMC Terrain FWD output is 175 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, with the AWD model boosting the torque output to 203 lb-ft. The Equinox offers the same powertrain output. 

In terms of trailering ability, the GMC Terrain and Chevy Equinox are also similar. The GMC Terrain also has heated exterior mirrors, but drivers can benefit from a manual folding feature to protect from damage on the trail or while parking near a wall. 

Interior Features

The Terrain comes with the Driver Convenience Package as part of the standard equipment. Features like a remote start engine, heated front-row seats, a heated steering wheel, express windows, and illuminated vanity mirrors meet your day-to-day needs with an emphasis on comfort. This SUV also has a single-zone climate control system and a 15-inch infotainment system with Google Built-in compatibility. 

The Equinox has standard features like active noise cancellation technology, which uses the six-speaker audio system to cancel out road noise, and an 11-inch Driver Information Center. This model also has a smaller 11.3-inch central touchscreen than the GMC Terrain.
